I just purchased a used Casio CE-4000 register and when I turn it on I get a beeping E94 error. The manual says remove the paper jam, but there isn't one. I've tried cleaning/blowing/and removing all the nearby parts but no luck. A complete reset of the machine doesn't work either. Any Suggestions?

Hi steved, If you did a reset and the problem still exists it's not a program error. I think you may have a small piece of paper that's caught in the paper feed chute on the journal side of the printer. I would cut a business card to fit the chute and feed it through the printer this will push any small piece of paper out of the chute. Another thing that I do is unplug the from the wall socket for about 1 minute then plug it back in this will restart the printer and when it recycles it sometimes fixes the problem. Let know how this works for you. Thanks Bubbaj

No luck. I've had the whole 'print area' apart, and there is no piece of paper or anything in the way. I was really hoping your 'power down' idea would reset it. But... no. Any idea where the 'sensor' is? There's not a lot of places it could be. There are only a couple wires going up into the paper feed area.
